Players place inmates into cells and may arrange combat between inmates or pit them against beasts such as lions, wolves, rats, and elephants to increase their rarity and strength. A counter system, along with torture instruments and prison events, assists in the cultivation process. High-rarity inmates that meet specific criteria are moved out of regular cells for solitary confinement.
After 20 turns, the suppression phase begins. The inmates cultivated earlier initiated a riot. Players must suppress them across three prison levels and six difficulty tiers. Each group of inmates defeated lights a corresponding Warden’s Cache. Upon completion of the suppression (or when revives are exhausted), players enter the reward room to open all activated Warden’s Caches. The quality of cultivation and the extent of suppression directly determine the final rewards.
New cultivation system
A new Follower progression system is introduced this season. Letters of Introduction obtained through Tartarus gameplay allow players to recruit Followers from four tribes: Lion Queen, Lone Wolf, Mammoth, and Witch Rat. Followers accompany players in Netherrealm combat and can cast exclusive Tartarus skills that provide buffs to allies or debuffs to enemies. Higher Follower quality grants more skill slots and stronger skills. Challenging higher Netherrealm difficulties unlocks higher-tier Followers.
New hero traits
Spacetime Witness Youga receives a new Hero Trait, “The Ultimate One.” This trait revolves around the Clockwork Core, which can attach spell skills and automatically cast them. Critical strikes reduce skill cooldowns, enabling continuous spellcasting cycles. The trait offers three development paths focusing on projectiles and time manipulation, mobility and linked damage, and spell enhancement respectively. Players may mix elements from these paths or specialize in one.

In addition, a selection of new Active Skills and universal Support Skills has been added to expand build options. New Legendary gear, weapon bases, and Pactspirits are also available.
